Module 6 Reflections

I believe that having the students help with the rubrics gives them a chance to be responsible for their work and take pride in it. Some students might be motivated to pay attention and be more involved in the project if they get to grade other students and realize that others are grading them. Modifying for special needs students helps them and you. You are getting them involved along with not having them ask several questions. They feel like part of the class and you are less stressed.

Student Assessment

I think the student assessment will help them take more responsibility in what they are learning and keep them motivated. There will always be those students that will not care no matter what you do but others will take great pride in this. By incorporating them in the process lets them understand how hard it is to grade others. It also makes is easier on the teacher because they cannot be everywhere at one time. It is like having extra eyes in the room.

Module 4 Reflection

How can technology be used most effectively to support and assess student learning?

I think there are more technology resources out there to use than we take advantage of. We could use blogs to assess their learning by asking questions. Presentations can have the kids show creativity and personal insight.

Module 2 Reflections

This module has helped me think about using standards, CFQs, or formative assessment in the following ways by getting the kids to start thinking about the subject using more than just factual restating. Assessing the students throughout the project is as essential and grading the final product to make sure that they are learning throughout the unit.  . Also, that your project can cover more than just one or two standards and still be effective.

Module 1

I like doing things as far as designing lessons I just wished that I had more time to devote to doing it.  I think that this motivate me to do more for all the subjects that I teach.

As long as I do not start over thinking the assignments I think this will be challenging yet common sense.  I really appreciate the instructors and their knowledge.
